some thoughts on PEACOCKING from TD

When you peacock, it's supposed to be a part of a bigger picture.

The guys who do it well do it in a way where the entire room is reacting to them and having a hard time taking their eyes off of them.

Anyone who has seen a good pick up artist in action knows that they basically dictate the social energy around them. Wherever they are, there's usually a buzz. The peacocking adds to that.

With peacocking you're wearing attire that people have never seen before. They can't stop looking at it because they can't figure out where you got it or how it even exists.

Peacocking is very similar to how Indians used to use war-paint or how women use makeup and high heels. It's ornamentation that plays off of imagery and draws a powerful emotional reaction from people.

When you see a rockstar, you know they're a rockstar because they're dressed almost like cartoons. It's a disorienting thing, and it affects you emotionally. Peacocking is supposed to do that. If it doesn't, then it isn't really peacocking.
